International Matchmaking: Why the Right Person Matters More Than the Country

Why international matchmaking should begin with genuine compatibility, not only relocation, checklists or practical arrangements.

Why international matchmaking should begin with genuine compatibility, not only relocation, checklists or practical arrangements.

International matchmaking can become complicated very quickly when people start with practical questions. Where will we live? Who will relocate? Does this person match every point on my checklist? These questions do matter, but we do not believe they should always come first. For us, the more important question is whether two people could genuinely be right for each other.

Relocation Should Not Always Come First

Relocation is a good example. Someone may say today that they would never move to another country, but that answer can change after meeting the right person. People do not always know what they would be willing to do before there is a real relationship in front of them.

That does not mean relocation should be ignored. It can be discussed, but we do not believe it should automatically become a reason to reject a potentially strong match before two people have even had the chance to know each other. If the relationship becomes serious, they can sit down and work out the future together.

Values and Energy Matter

When we consider a match, values come first. We look at how someone thinks about marriage, honesty, family, commitment, stability and the way they treat other people.

There is also something harder to put into a form or checklist: energy.

By energy, we mean that natural feeling where you want to stay connected with someone. You enjoy talking to them, you want to spend more time with them, and being around them simply feels right.

You cannot properly measure that from a profile.

Good Matchmaking Is Not Just Matching Checklists

This is why we do not believe good matchmaking is just about matching checklists.

Someone can meet every requirement on paper, including age, career, location and background, and still not feel right when you meet them.

The opposite can also happen. Someone you may have rejected because of one particular criterion could actually turn out to be a much better match once you speak and spend time together.

If you only look at the checklist, you may never get the chance to discover that.

Our Matchmaking Is Personalized and Handpicked

Our matchmaking is personalized and handpicked.

We try to understand the person behind the profile: what they actually want, where they are in life, how serious they are, and what really matters to them.

Every person is different, so we do not believe every match should be handled through exactly the same formula.

Honesty, Stability and Communication

There are three qualities that matter a great deal to us: honesty, stability and communication.

You should be honest about who you are and what you want. You should have a reasonable level of stability in your life, and you should be willing to communicate properly and patiently with the person you are getting to know.

A relationship cannot develop properly when someone is dishonest, refuses to communicate or disappears when things become uncomfortable.

Be Yourself When You Meet Someone

Once you meet someone, our advice is simple: be yourself.

The other person needs to meet the real you, not a version of you that you think they might prefer.

Spend time together in a normal way. Have coffee or dinner, go bowling, take a walk, go hiking, ride bikes or do something you both genuinely enjoy.

See how the person behaves in real life. See how you feel around them. See whether you actually enjoy being together.

These things often tell you far more than another hour spent comparing profiles.

What If an Introduction Does Not Work Out?

Sometimes an introduction will not work out. That is okay.

We stay involved in the process and listen to both people. If something does not feel right, we ask that you tell us.

We do not encourage ghosting.

If you do not want to continue, let the other person and us know. If you are uncomfortable saying it directly, you can speak with us and we can help.

We also want to understand why the introduction did not work, because that helps us understand you better before considering another match.

Trust the Process

If we suggest someone to you, it is because we have considered that person carefully.

It does not mean we can guarantee chemistry, love or marriage. Nobody can.

It means we believe there is enough compatibility there for the two of you to genuinely explore.

So try not to worry too much about whether every single box has been ticked. Meet the person. Talk to them. Spend some real time together.

See whether your values line up, whether the energy feels right and whether you are happy around each other.

Sometimes the practical things that looked difficult at the beginning become much easier when two people genuinely want to build a life together.

Find the right person first. Then work out the rest together.
