Why More Dating Matches Do Not Always Lead to the Right Person
More dating options can feel useful, but too much choice can make it harder to slow down, notice real compatibility and give one person a fair chance.

Dating has become very good at giving people options. You can look through dozens of profiles in a short amount of time and always feel that there might be someone else just one swipe away.
But having more choices does not necessarily make it easier to find the right person.
Sometimes it does the opposite.
Too Many Options Can Become a Distraction
When there is always another profile available, it becomes very easy to move on.
Maybe you like someone, but one small thing is not exactly what you imagined. Instead of getting to know them, you start wondering whether the next person might be better.
Then the same thing happens again.
After a while, you are not really getting to know anyone. You are comparing people.
That is very different from building a relationship.
A Profile Cannot Tell You How Someone Feels
Someone can look perfect on paper.
They can have the right age, career, education, location and lifestyle. Their photographs can look great. Everything can match the checklist.
Then you meet them and there is simply nothing there.
The opposite can happen too.
Someone may not look like the obvious match from a profile, but when you speak to them, you feel comfortable. The conversation flows. You want to talk again. You enjoy being around them.
That part cannot be properly shown on a dating profile.
You have to experience it.
The Checklist Can Get in the Way
There is nothing wrong with knowing what you want.
Marriage intentions matter. Values matter. Lifestyle matters. There are also things that may genuinely be important to you.
But if the checklist becomes too strict, it can stop you from meeting someone who could actually make you happy.
People are more complicated than a list of requirements.
Someone can tick every box and still be completely wrong for you. Someone else can miss one or two boxes and turn out to be the person you feel most yourself around.
That is why we believe matchmaking has to look beyond the checklist.
Give One Person a Real Chance
Our approach is not to keep introducing people one after another.
If we introduce two people, we want them to have the space to actually get to know each other.
Talk. Meet. Spend some time together. Have dinner, go for coffee, go for a walk, play a game, or do something you both enjoy.
See how the person behaves when you are actually together.
See how you feel around them.
If you are constantly thinking about the next possible match, it is very difficult to give the person in front of you a fair chance.
Sometimes fewer options create more clarity.
This Is Why We Handpick Matches
We do not believe matchmaking should simply mean searching a database for people who meet certain criteria.
We take time to understand the people we work with. We look at what they want, where they are in life, how serious they are, their values, their communication and the kind of person we believe may suit them.
Then we make a judgment.
That judgment will never be perfect. Nobody can guarantee that two people will fall in love.
But there is a big difference between carefully considering an introduction and simply giving someone another profile to choose from.
We would rather introduce one person carefully than give someone ten unsuitable options. Even if one of those ten people could have potential, too much choice can make it harder to notice that person properly.
When there are too many options, people often keep comparing instead of connecting.
The Goal Is Not More Matches
The goal is not to have the largest number of people interested in you.
It is not to collect matches.
It is not to keep looking because there might always be someone better.
The goal is to find one person you genuinely want to know better, and who genuinely wants to know you.
That takes some patience.
It also means giving people enough time to show you who they actually are.
More matches can give you more choices. But the right match only needs to be one person.
